Background
Gloria is a Director in the Actuaries & Consultants practice for Deloitte in Australia. She is a qualified Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (FIAA) and has been working in the general insurance industry since 2001. She has a wide range of experience in actuarial consulting and corporate environments, advising on long tail and short tail businesses. Prior to joining Deloitte, she was at Westpac where she worked on the merger between Westpac and St George.

Professional experience
Gloria is heavily involved in the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. She has served on the Board of the Institute (“Council”) since 2009, and is a member of Audit & Risk Council Committee, Public Policy Council Committee, Leadership Council Committee and Risk Management Practice Committee.
She has a strong interest in enterprise risk management (ERM) and has worked with representatives from different practice committees in developing strategic and operational plans for ERM within the actuarial profession. Gloria has also assisted in the Institute’s education program in numerous capacities.
She co-authored the presentations, “Enterprise Risk Management & the Actuarial Profession”, at IAAust 5th Financial Services Forum and also “Application of Enterprise Risk Management in General Insurance” at IAAust 17th General Insurance Seminar.
