(R) Evolution to a new operating model: Practical experience in adapting advice models to the new worldMichael Monaghan |
Regulation and other contributing factors have changed the way in which superannuation fund members view their funds and where they seek financial advice.
This session will cover whether and how funds should provide financial advice to their members, and the trends in the advice space. Trends observed include:
- more members turning to their super funds for advice
- decreased barriers for funds seeking to provide advice
- improved efficiency reducing unit costs of advice
- integration of aspects of the advice chain
- levels of advice (limited, general, personal) and escalation points
Discussion of our practical experience in helping funds develop their advice strategies will cover assisting the funds:
- to articulate their position on advice.
- to develop a suitable advice model based on regulatory requirements and capacity within the fund
- to review their current advice arrangements
- to implement changes in their advice strategy
