ADUP is a compliance tool. It stands for Analysing Daily Unit Prices, and its output graphs allow you to review thousands of prices in minutes.
The tool provides an overall review of the reasonability of every price that:
- is independent because it requires no input from you except the prices (and even these can sometimes be accessed from websites)
- is not expensive because it has automated the identification of anomalous price movements
- increases the effectiveness of internal and external audit reviews of process by focussing them on prices that are more likely to be errors
- provides comfort to management that daily reviews of prices have themselves been reviewed at a high level.
