Deloitte Queensland Stock Exchange Index

Welcome to the 106th edition of the Deloitte Queensland Index, a review of Queensland listed companies on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) that also includes the Deloitte Energy & Resources (E&R) Index.

Key points for April 2013 include:

  • The Deloitte Queensland Index increased 2.1% during April 2013, while the Deloitte Queensland Energy & Resources (E&R) Index decreased 6.5%. The ASX All Ordinaries increased 3.8% over the same period
  • Over the 12 months to 30 April 2013, the Deloitte Queensland Index and ASX All Ordinaries increased 4.6% and 15.7%, respectively, compared to a decrease of 34.3% for the Deloitte Queensland E&R Index
  • There are currently 200 companies on the Deloitte Queensland Index
  • In April 2013, the market capitalisation of 67 companies increased and the market capitalisation of 102 companies decreased.

Welcome to the 2012 Deloitte Queensland Index - Gala Edition, an annual review of Queensland stocks and indices. This special edition showcases the top five performances by market capitalisation of all Queensland listed companies over the past year.

Deloitte | Queensland Index gala Edition FY12

During the 2012 financial year (FY12), the Deloitte Queensland Index decreased by 5.1% to 2095 points. The S&P/ASX All Ordinaries decreased 11.3% to 4135 points over the same period, an outperformance of 6.2%. Since inception (September 2002), the Deloitte Queensland Index has outperformed the S&P/ASX All Ordinaries by 68.3%.

Out of the 209 companies currently listed on the Index, 81 companies posted an increase, 119 companies lost ground, while the remainder were steady.
