Deloitte allies with Second Road to strengthen innovationDOWNLOAD
17 September 2012: Deloitte’s Chief Strategy Officer Gerhard Vorster announced today that the professional services firm had formed an alliance with strategy and innovation firm, Second Road, to support Deloitte as it continues to reinvigorate its portfolio of new and innovative solutions for clients.
“The volatile and rapidly changing economic landscape, the impact of digital disruption, the high Australian dollar, changing consumer behaviour and demographics, are key factors as we position for the future.
“A future that leaders need to be able to try and envisage today,” Vorster said.
“Our alliance with a leading consultancy like Second Road is an important example of how we will combine analytical and design thinking for the benefit of our clients,” he said.
Tony Golsby-Smith, CEO of Second Road said, “We assist complex enterprises unlock their imaginations to invent, design and co-create revenue generating opportunities.
“We can’t avoid complexity,” he said. “It’s how we respond to it that matters.”
Vorster pointed out that Deloitte achieved its double digit growth, eclipsing its competitors, because of “our organisational agility and commitment to innovative acquisitions and alliances across areas such as data analytics, digital capacity and design thinking.
“It is using ‘different’ capabilities such as that offered by design thinking, data and digital that strengthen our core competencies in audit, tax, risk and financial advisory,” he said.
