Finite IT wins Deloitte Growth AwardDOWNLOAD |
The 2010 NSW/ACT Family Business Australia/Deloitte Growth Award was recently awarded to Finite IT.
This first generation brother and sister team have remained true to their core values and kept a niche market in the recruitment industry. Whilst many players in the recruitment market have struggled over the last year, Finite IT has exceeded their growth plans and has now expanded into a National business with locations in most capital cities.
Their key to growth during turbulent times has involved recruiting likeminded ambitious team members and keeping true to their externally focussed strategy rather than becoming insular.
The Deloitte Growth Award has been established to recognise and reward the fastest growing private enterprises in NSW and ACT. The award recognises family businesses that have achieved the fastest average turnover growth over the last three years.
Deloitte Private Partner, Raelene Berryman said, “Over the years Deloitte have been sponsoring the Growth Award, there has not been any commonality as to which industry, generation or strategic approach is taken amongst our winners. The one thing they have in common is a passion for family values and longevity of the business and family unit.”
“Family businesses, such as Finite IT, have a myriad of day to day concerns to deal with but those who can implement growth strategies, stay focused and take calculated risks do well even in difficult economic times,” added Ms Berryman.
The second Growth Award winner, for a business operating for less than 15 years, went to Sandhurst Fine Foods. They are a second generation family business where the aim is for every Australian family to experience quality meals like they cook at home. They display a strong focus on quality and consistency in their products and have key family members overseeing the production - even tasting products before they are launched into the market.
The third Growth Award winner was Nulon Products. They are a second generation family business based in Sydney’s west. Their growth was based on focusing on their goal of being the “best lubricants company in Australia” which they are delivering by having a strong emphasis on innovation.
