Deloitte appoints new Public Sector leaderDOWNLOAD
20 February 2012: Professional Services firm Deloitte today announced the appointment of new partner and policy strategist Andrew Johnstone-Burt to lead its Public Sector industry team.
Deloitte Chief Operating Officer Keith Skinner said Andrew’s appointment would build on the firm’s growing public sector advisory practice and followed Deloitte’s recent union with teams from Access Economics and SAHA Australia.
“At a time of so many major public infrastructure demands, with governments under pressure across the world to improve their budgetary position, Andrew brings to Deloitte a range of specialist skills and experience. As a global leader of Booz & Company’s global public sector practice, Andrew’s work ranged across policy reform and fiscal sustainability in the public sectors of Australia, the United Kingdom, UAE and Europe.
“Following his return to Australia late last year from the UK, Deloitte is delighted that Andrew will now be driving our Australian practice delivering transformative thought leadership and execution for public sector clients across the country.”
Lynne Pezzullo, Deloitte Canberra Office Managing Partner added: “Having Andrew on board with his extensive local and global experience in the public sector policy reform, supports our next stage of growth following the integration with Access Economics and infrastructure specialist SAHA Australia with their extensive economic and commercial advisory, forecasting and modelling expertise so critical for evidence based policy formulation.”
In addition to 10 years’ military service, Andrew also has 20 years advisory experience in strategy, people, change and ICT. Andrew is regarded as a trusted advisor to the Department of Defence as well as other Federal and State Government departments.
Andrew Johnstone-Burt said: “I see a pressing need for governments to bridge the gap between policy development and successful execution.”
“In an increasingly competitive market, Deloitte has some great capabilities to support the senior executive agenda from policy formulation through to program execution.
“My aim is to support our clients address significant issues in health, transport, education, energy and the environment by bringing all the services of the firm to bear.”
