17 November 2011: Anittel Ltd, a national ASX-listed IT and Telecommunications service provider, who had record revenue growth of 1,022.22% over the last three years, was today announced the winner of the 2011 Deloitte Technology Fast 50.

Anittel supports the complete end-to-end technology requirements of small to medium enterprises across Australia, and provides a range of technology solutions.

Joshua Tanchel, leader of Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 Program highlighted Anittel’s strong growth through acquisition and its provision of technology solutions in IT support, telecommunications, Internet and networking, cloud services, and hardware and software. The company topped this year’s winners’ list, as well as topping the Leadership Awards category, which provides special recognition to winners with revenues in excess of $50 million.

“Over the past several months Anittel has opened two new office locations to increase its national footprint to 17 regional and metropolitan office locations.”

“Particularly impressive across all of this year’s winning technology companies,” said Mr Tanchel, “is the way they have all capitalised on opportunities in a somewhat cautious market and strategically prepared themselves for improved economic conditions. Nearly half of the winning companies classify themselves as ‘Internet’ businesses, which is representative of the shift of broader technology companies to being more focused on online commerce.”

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Program, now in its eleventh year, ranks 50 of Australia’s fastest growing public and private technology companies, based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2009 to 2011).

“The Fast 50 winners have been impressive in the way they have embraced change, adopted new technologies and brought innovative solutions to the marketplace,” said Mr Tanchel.
Total revenue for this year’s Fast 50 winners was approximately $2.2 billion, up from $1.8 billion in 2010.

2011 Leadership award

Now in its second year, the Leadership Awards are granted to companies with operating revenues in excess of $50 million in 2011. This year’s winner was also Anittel, who services a range of sectors, such as finance, legal, medical, government, education and not-for-profit.

2011 Rising Star award

The winner of the 2011 Rising Star award was brandsExclusive Pty Ltd, Australia’s first by-invitation shopping club, and one of the fastest-growing fashion websites in the country. As the market leader in the private shopping club segment, it has the highest number of unique visitors per month with a member base of over 1.3 million people (growing by 70,000 members per month). The company partners directly with leading brands to offer sales events to members.

The Rising Star award recognises high quality and innovative companies with strong growth potential that do not qualify for the Technology Fast 50 list, either as a result of having less than three years’ existing revenue data or not meeting the new $8 million threshold requirement of the Technology Fast 50 program.
