We would like to invite you to the second session of our new TP Hands On series.

The goal of these quarterly seminars is to assist those responsible for tax in their respective businesses to gain a greater understanding of some of the complexities of Australia’s transfer pricing landscape.  Each session will build on the subject matter discussed at previous sessions, providing you with a holistic understanding of the transfer pricing rules in Australia.  If you have missed a TP Hands On session, we can provide you with the relevant materials to review in advance of this event.

We will be limiting the size of each session to 10-12 people to ensure they are interactive in nature and provide an informal environment for questions and discussing practical experiences.

If you are a Chartered Accountant or a Certified Practising Accountant, you will be able to record attendance at one of our TP Hands-On sessions in your diaries as Qualifying Hours/Continuing Professional Development.

Our second session will focus on Australian documentation requirements and the transfer pricing of debt, including:

  • Australian transfer pricing documentation requirements and the benefits of preparing documentation
  • Why debt is an issue for transfer pricing and the ATO’s position on financing transactions
  • Approaches to pricing specific debt instruments for transfer pricing (using practical examples)
  • Potential impact on financing transactions and/or transfer pricing resulting from the 2013 Budget.

Future TP Hands-On sessions this year will cover transfer pricing in relation to services, intangible property, business restructuring, business model optimisation and ATO risk identification/controversy.
