Submission to Treasury on Employee Shares Schemes and Startup Companies

Administrative and Taxation Arrangements

Startup companies often use option arrangements to attract and retain employees and to bring investors and entrepreneurial know-how on board. Our submission has concentrated on the taxation of employee options and the changes necessary to better align the rules governing option arrangements for the startup sector.

However, an important piece of the puzzle is to separately explore how we can best represent and accommodate the needs and interests of investors and entrepreneurs. Watch the videos below and download our submission to Treasury to find out more about Deloitte's recommendations in relation to employee share option plans.
