Jason is a member of Deloitte’s NSW Energy and Resources industry group and is an oil and gas and mining specialist. Jason has more than 15 years’ experience in assurance and advisory and is the audit partner for numerous public companies in the oil and gas, gold and copper mining sectors.
Jason is instrumental to the Deloitte Oil and Gas Boardroom Lunch, a quarterly series that focuses on topical industry issues. He also speaks at oil and gas industry events, including the APPEA Taxation and Finance conference and the Gas and Generation conference, providing updates on key accounting issues facing the industry, such as recent changes to the Petroleum Resource Rent Tax.
Jason has extensive experience across a variety of audit and assurance areas, including controls assessment, compliance, external auditing and due diligence. His services extend to the providers of services to the resources industry, as well as to acquirers of assets, where he has acted as an investigating accountant for scheme booklets and prospectuses.
Jason is a registered Company Auditor and in addition to being certified in Australia he is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
