Tim Biggs is the Queensland Managing Partner for Deloitte, a position he has held since September 2004.
Tim commenced with Deloitte as a graduate in 1989, spent two years in England in the early nineties and spent five years with Deloitte in Adelaide as an audit partner prior to returning to Brisbane to take up the managing partner role in 2004. He now manages a fast-growing office of 35 partners and 470 staff.
Tim’s major professional area has been large audit clients, particularly in energy and resources, and he continues to serve a small number of companies in addition to his managing partner responsibilities. He also consults to boards and senior executive teams on reporting and governance issues. His main focus as Managing Partner is building Deloitte’s market presence and profile, in addition to managing the practice and working to continue the growth of Deloitte in Queensland.
Tim is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Registered Company Auditor. He has a Bachelor of
Commerce degree from the University of Queensland and has completed the High Potentials Leadership course at Harvard Business School.
Tim is a Trustee of the Lord Mayor’s Community Trust, a member of the School Council of the Anglican Church Grammar School (“Churchie”), and the Deputy Chairman of the Ann Street Presbyterian Church Committee of Management. He is a member of the Queensland Club and the Brisbane Club.
Tim is married to Belinda and they have four children ranging in age from fifteen to twenty-one. Tim enjoys running, reading, music, travel and watching rugby.
