Geoff Roberts is the managing partner of Deloitte for Victoria, a position held since 1 November 2011.

In the seven years prior to this, Geoff was the Group Chief Financial Officer of AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited, a top 20 listed company across 10 countries including eight in Asia.

His key business achievements at AXA were:

Managed exponential business growth:
Led the finance function while the business grew across 10 countries from a market capitalization of $5.1b in 2004 to $13.3b in 2011. This included country entries into India and Malaysia and over $1.2b of acquisitions together with enormous organic growth in Asia, managing high growth in Asia was always challenging.

Provided strong leadership through Global Financial Crisis:
During the GFC was responsible for safely implementing billions of dollars of derivative protection and cross border reinsurance protection, restructuring corporate holdings, downsizing staff, raising $878 million of new capital and renegotiating debt maturities in a highly regulated and highly volatile environment.

Managed most complex M&A transaction ($14.6 billion) in Australian corporate history:
Managed on a daily basis over an 18 month period a complex transaction for stakeholders with competing agendas. This involved management of multiple Investment Bankers, legal advisors, accounting firms, finance and legal teams, plus Independent Experts & Regulators.

Prior to joining AXA in 2004 Geoff was a partner in Deloitte from 1992 including leading the Victorian Audit Group until 2000 and being the National lead partner for Consulting for Financial Services until 2004. In 2003 and 2004 he was also a National Board member for Deloitte.
