Partner, Chief Marketing Officer
David has worked in Europe, the US and Australia in branding, journalism, PR, digital and content production for the past 30 years – but has re-learned everything he knows about marketing in the last five. David considers Deloitte as the ideal place to be a student of the future, with its unique confluence of data, digital and design capabilities, and an extraordinary story to tell about cultural renewal driving one of Australia’s best corporate turnaround stories.
David Redhill was appointed Chief Marketing Officer for Deloitte Australia in August 2003 upon his return to Australia after 20 years abroad. His previous role was Director, Global Brand Strategy for Deloitte Consulting in San Francisco.
David leads Deloitte Australia’s Marketing, Communications and Business Development teams, provides strategic support to the firm’s national Executive, and oversees the firm’s messaging, branding and advertising through its media and online channels. He was appointed partner in July 2005.
David is a member of Deloitte’s Global Marketing and Brand Group and is also a director on the board of The Deloitte Foundation. He also advises COFA (NSW University College of Fine Art) and the Australian Musicians Association.
Before Deloitte, he worked as a press and radio journalist, PR and communications adviser, brand consultant, writer and photographer in Australia, Spain, England and the US. His roles have included positions at Landor Associates, BEA Systems, iXL and Price Waterhouse.
David’s articles have been published in The Financial Times, The Guardian, San Francisco Chronicle, The Times of London, The Australian, and other publications. He has chaired and spoken at seminars in the US, Europe and Australasia.
David is based in Sydney and is married with three children. His passions include music, photography, writing, surfing and tennis.
