Rachel Besley was appointed General Counsel of Deloitte Australia on 1 September 2012.
Rachel has practised for over 15 years and is known for her deep expertise in contract, employment, corporate, intellectual property and partnership law. She joined Deloitte in 2002 as a senior associate seconded from DLA Piper, where she specialised in intellectual property and information technology law.
Rachel is a former Deloitte Businesswoman of the Year national finalist and leads the Inspiring Women's program for the Firm's internal facing service lines. She played an instrumental role in developing Deloitte’s internal mentoring program.
