Inspiring Women

“For us, Inspiring Women is not about experimenting with the latest fad. It is about sustained commitment and improved outcomes,” Giam Swiegers, CEO.

Developing talented women at Deloitte is not simply about increasing the number of women we recruit. It is a planned program that has been running for seven years. It focuses on supporting and developing women across the entire span of their career.

Winner of the Federal Government’s equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency’s (EOWA) award for being the Leading Organisation for the Advancement of Women in 2008, Deloitte has also been an Employer of Choice for women for the last seven years.

One of the critical success factors to our growth is embracing gender diversity to win the war for talent in this country. At Deloitte we recognise equal opportunity for women is a key driver to our sustainability and ability to attract and retain talent.

Our Deloitte Businesswoman of the Year awards, initiated in 2004, help identify, develop and retain our most talented women. The winners are offered additional development opportunities including attending a Mt. Eliza leadership program, becoming actively involved in the firm’s Mentoring@deloitte program and are expected to assist in driving the Inspiring Women program at Deloitte by participating on the nationwide board of inspiring women.
