Our Inspiring Women program is an important component of our overall People strategy at Deloitte. It strives to ensure Deloitte continues to be the most inspiring professional firm to work with. Its success has inspired the development of other diversity initiatives, most notably our Cultural Diversity program.
The ongoing success of Inspiring Women is still very much a focus. We continually review and enhance our strategy to ensure we are maximising the opportunity to advance our talented women. We recognise that our commitment to recruiting, retaining and supporting the advancement of our talented women is essential for our success as a business.
Ensuring Deloitte retains our competitive advantage is dependent on proactive involvement and accountability of all our partners. Our senior leadership’s ongoing awareness, education and support of a gender balanced workforce is critical to fostering an environment where talented women thrive and excel.
“We have targets - realistic, achievable goals that will make people accountable for keeping and attracting talent. With our women’s program, like any other important business strategy, it follows that we measure and report back to our stakeholders on our success against targets” Margaret Dreyer, Senior Partner
We have identified five key areas which now provide the future direction and focus for Inspiring Women.
Partners and senior leadership are accountable for demonstrating an inclusive culture which supports the advancement of talented women. Partners report to the CEO on their performance in this area.
We will continue to create opportunities for women to develop productive networks and convert relationships for personal and revenue growth.
The firm will continue to invest in the development of talented women to help them achieve business success. One aspect of this is to provide forums for talented women to access influential business women who can act as mentors.
We will continue to seek out opportunities to promote our Inspiring Women activities by measuring their ability to drive revenue and growth opportunities for our talented women. The firm will continue to work closely with the EOWA and create client advocates to help increase the understanding of our commitment to female talent.
Creating client value is at the centre of the Inspiring Women program because the advancement of talented women is crucial to the firm’s ability to continue to engage with clients. We will continue to explore opportunities to partner with clients and help them to create their own successful women’s initiatives by applying the lessons we’ve learned on our journey so far. Using our human capital expertise we can help clients to measure the potential benefits of developing talented women within their own organisation.
