Our Deloitte Business Woman of the Year program was introduced in 2004 to recognise the achievements of our most talented women.

The program is instrumental in building strong, relatable role models for women at Deloitte, and indeed for all employees.

Participating in Deloitte Business Woman of the Year offers an opportunity for our talented women to receive recognition for their achievements. The framework of Deloitte Business Woman of the Year allows individuals to:

  • Reflect on their careers and think about future ambitions
  • Receive feedback from their peers
  • Gain validation and recognition of their achievements to date
  • Gain exposure to mentoring from the firm’s leadership
  • Build deeper networks throughout the firm.

The winners of the Deloitte Business Woman of the Year act as inspiring female role models and change agents for the firm. Awarded $15,000 towards a development course of their choice, the winners are developed and profiled both within and outside of the firm. Previous winners have completed courses at Harvard and INSEAD.

Deloitte Business Woman of the Year finalists are also asked to join the Deloitte Business Women Council. This council meets twice a month and is responsible for:

  • Providing a sounding board to the Inspiring Women national partner group
  • Developing inititaives to support and enhance the Inspiring Women’s program. Coach and sponsor younger female talent to support their career development.

“Developing and sustaining an open dialogue with our people is vital for employee motivation and an important reality check to ensure we are meeting the needs of our people” Alec Bashinsky, National Partner, People and Performance
