TEDxSouthBankWomen and Deloitte

Empowering the women of Brisbane

Deloitte | TEDxSouthBankWomen

Deloitte is proud to sponsor TEDxSouthBankWomen, Brisbane’s first independently organised TEDxWomen event, seeking to inspire people to change their lives, their futures and ultimately their world.

In the spirit of ‘Ideas Worth Spreading’, the event will be held on Saturday 1 December at the State Library of Queensland and will feature inspiring talks from some of Australia’s best-established and emerging thinkers who are striving to tackle humanity’s toughest questions with innovative enterprise and enduring optimism.

“We are excited to be supporting this fantastic event, as it aligns with our commitment to innovation and the way our firm develops new ideas, products and services that create value for the business, our clients and the country,” says David Redhill, Chief Marketing Officer.

Margaret Dreyer, the driving force behind the Deloitte Inspiring Women’s program, adds, “At Deloitte, we recognise equal opportunity for women is a key driver to our sustainability and ability to attract and retain talent. We are committed to building the leadership capability of our women, leveraging our learnings to help our clients and driving a performance culture.  TEDxSouthBankWomen is a unique opportunity for us to do all of these things.”

At the TEDxSouthBankWomen event itself, Deloitte is providing the opportunity for delegates to take the first step on their next adventure, through talking to Deloitte Design Thinking experts.

Judith Donovan, Deloitte Brisbane partner adds “Our people will be helping delegates to develop ideas, identify challenges and to plan a path to success. We will also have one of our team taking over the Life at Deloitte Twitter account to share her experiences of TEDxSouthBankWomen online.”

Everyone can join in and watch the inspiring presentations in real time, as TEDxSouthBankWomen will be live-streamed around the world via their official website.
