As a leading professional services firm, Deloitte has an important responsibility to act with integrity and care for the planet. We believe in earning our clients’ and our employees’ trust by doing the right thing and setting an example for others.
Four aspirational themes drive our Responsible Business program:
Supporting the communityWe bring about positive social change by supporting community programs |
Protecting the environmentWe minimise the direct and indirect impact of our business on the environments. |
||
Inspiring our peopleWe recognise, support and celebrate our diverse and talented people |
Acting ethically and delivering qualityWe deliver high-quality work to our clients and operate within a framework that promotes ethical behaviour |
In 2012, we completed a significant review of Deloitte’s Responsible Business strategy and have refined our focus for the year ahead. Through our programs, we will continue to embed our culture that is underpinned by our commitment to doing the right thing. Our people told us they want a more hands-on involvement in our community activities, so we’re exploring new ways to connect our staff with a wider range of volunteer opportunities. We’ll also be taking a more innovative and sustainable approach to supporting community organisations.
“One of the exceptional things about Deloitte is its culture of striving to make the world a better place. Our people have a strong instinct to contribute to the community and they want our firm as a whole to do the same." Wayne Goss, National Responsible Business Sponsor
Good corporate citizenship is ingrained in everything we do at Deloitte. Our Responsible Business strategy is not an afterthought; it reflects all aspects of our operations, including client service, employee relations and our supply chain.
The Responsible Business wheel shows the relationship between our business and our Responsible Business program:
