Gordon Thring is a Corporate and International Tax partner and a member of Deloitte’s Energy, infrastructure and resources group. Gordon is the Global lead tax partner for several of Deloitte’s listed clients and is responsible for the coordination and delivery of corporate tax services globally for multinational companies.
Gordon has over 25 years’ experience in taxation consulting, with 13 of those years as a partner. Gordon’s focus has been on tax efficient financing structures and structuring cross border M&A transactions.
Gordon is a current member and former chair of the CPA Australia’s Board of Taxation. His expertise has been invaluable to Treasury, the ATO and the Board of Taxation on a range of issues including uniform capital allowances, demergers, consolidations and international tax reform. Gordon is currently consulting with Treasury on the changes to the scrip-for-scrip rollover rules.
For several years Gordon has been identified as a top tax adviser by the International Tax Review’s ‘Guide to Leading Tax Advisers’.
Gordon leads a team with extensive experience serving multinational clients in cross-border transactions, with a focus on the resources and infrastructure industries.
Gordon isn’t afraid of a challenge, and loves to try to keep fit – he’s done the Oxfam 100km walk.
