Key achievements

For the second time in three years Deloitte has won the Accountancy Firm of the Year – CFO Awards 2008.

CFO Magazine, Editor, Kate Mills, highlighted that Deloitte had won the award for the ‘sheer hard graft’ in changing the nature of its partnership and its client base over the past few years and the  innovation demonstrated both within the firm and for its clients.

Some of our key achievements for 2008:

  • revenue growth exceeding 20% for three successive years
  • unique recognition for an innovative approach to managing growth in McKinsey’s international organisational study T he Granularity of Growth as a full-chapter case study
  • recognised as an Employer of Choice for Women for the seventh year in a row by Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency (EOWA)
  • the only Big Four accounting firm to have a consulting capability with over 630 people, including a highly successful online advisory and implementation practice Eclipse
  • a Corporate Finance service line that has been involved with three of Australia’s five largest IPOs in the past 18 months
  • a Risk Services practice that has been nominated for the second year in a row as the global leader in security consulting services by Forrester Research
  • a Corporate Reorganisation Services group that has been ranked the number one non-investment bank financial advisers globally by The Deal for eleven consecutive quarters (31 March 2008) with a significant contribution made by the Australian practice
  • a tier one ranking as one of the best tax planning (transfer pricing, indirect tax and tax structuring) firms in Australia by International Tax Review (2008).
