Deloitte Albania organized its first event ever called “AJO” dedicated to successful women in their

Tirane 1 march 2013- Deloitte Albania, organized its first event ever “AJO” dedicated to successful women who have achieved admirable results during their professional career. More than 35 business women gathered in this first event, organized at Vila Alehandro, in Tirana.

The AJO Initiative was designed as a good opportunity to gather women who despite other roles and responsibilities in life have succeeded to achieve great results and success in their professional career. This event was a great opportunity to share experience and to bring attention to the importance that gender diversification in leadership position has in development of economic and social development of any business aspects and certainly in each country – says Nuriona Berdica, Director of Audit&Advisory at Deloitte Albania. Our goal is to promote the idea of women role into the business and of course exchange and building further the personal and professional relationship in between. Our commitment has started today with this first event and later on this year we think to extend along with the launch of “AJO” survey, which we believe will support us with local statistics on involvement of women in business decision making in both Albania and Kosova – continues Nuriona Berdica.

The contribution of women to the economic development has significantly increased year after year. The Deloitte statistics show that those companies with high presence of women in leadership position have high productivity rate and have 50% more benefits from the economies of scales than those companies who has no gender diversification among their leaders.
