Deloitte sponsors GCC regional accounting conferenceExamining the Outlook for Financial Markets |
January 14, 2010 - Deloitte today announced its sponsorship of the GCC Regional Conference 2010, titled ‘Global Financial Markets: The Road Ahead’ organized in Manama on January 14 and 15 by the Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India (BCICAI).
After a tough year in 2009 for the global financial markets and the recent early signs of recovery, the regional conference brings together experts to determine the outlook for the world and regional economies in the coming year. They will share their in-depth experience of current issues confronting the global financial markets under the broad themes of “De-risking of Financial Markets - Perspective and Approach” and “Towards a Mature Financial Market – Global Perspective on Equity Cult and Commodities”. Debates will cover whether the worst of the crisis is over, the role and effect of fiscal stimuli in recovery, as well as strategies for investors.
The conference is attracting more than 500 delegates from across the region, most of whom are senior decision makers in business, government and society.
“Following the success of last year’s event, Deloitte is again pleased to sponsor the GCC Regional Conference for 2010,” said Roger Nasr, office managing partner of Deloitte in Bahrain. “This is set to be a landmark event in Bahrain and to be of interest to a wide audience including those seeking to understand both the impact of the financial crisis and the effects of corrective measure on the markets.”
