Howard is a managing director in Risk & Financial Advisory's Regulatory & Operations Risk market within Deloitte & Touche LLP offering with more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. His experience includes leading enterprise and regulatory compliance transformation, risk management, strategic planning, and change management projects for companies operating and/or invested in the energy sector.
In addition to his corporate-level advisory support, Howard has worked with more than two dozen different clients on targeted regulatory compliance matters in the wholesale and retail commodity markets. This work has included compliance program development; policy and procedure design and development; transaction surveillance program development; assistance with responding to regulatory sanctions and directives; organization redesign; governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) system selection and implementation; and operating model design and deployment.
Howard serves on the editorial board for Deloitte’s Center for Regulatory Strategy, providing strategic direction for their efforts in the energy industry.
