Chris Hanson

Chris is an Assistant Director in the Sports Business Group. Since joining the team in 2011, he has worked on a broad range of projects with international federations, competition organisers and investors, developing specialisms in commercial rights tenders, financial regulations and the sports media rights market.

Since 2016 Chris has been part of the team working closely with the ITTF to review its competition structures, launch a strategic plan and most recently assisting the governing body with its successful 2021 commercial rights tender and creation of World Table Tennis.

Chris worked closely with Formula 1 and the FIA on the development and implementation of the FIA Formula 1 Financial Regulations, and is supporting UEFA in the development of its Financial Fair Play Regulations.

Chris has recently advised on a number of due diligence projects for investors, including diligence in respect of a Premier League football club, a major European rights holder, and regarding a leading sports advertising business.
