Norbert is the Country Managing Partner at Deloitte & Touche Uganda and he is also charged with the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the Capital Markets regulations in our Ugandan practice. He has been instrumental in the growth of our audit practices in Uganda, Rwanda and in Burundi ensuring that our clients benefit from our wider reach within the region.
Norbert has a wealth of experience in providing professional services to organisations cutting across a spectrum of industries including audit of construction companies, freights and handling companies, non-profit organisations, government, banking and non-banking financial institutions, Investment Companies, insurance companies, and other sectors including transport, manufacturing, wholesaling and retailing, agriculture, food and beverage, hospitality, motor vehicle dealerships, engineering, service companies and charities. Norbert holds M.B.A in Leadership and Sustainability from University of Cumbria
He is also a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR), Member of Odre Profession Comptable du Burundi (OPC), and Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Norbert has also been involved in training on risk management and fraud and has over the years been involved in developing the accountancy profession in the region and championed the cause through the umbrella bodies in Rwanda and Uganda. He is a founding member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda and served on the Marketing Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda. He also is heavily involved in the Order of Professional Accountants in Burundi.
