Meet Michael Kesner

Principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Mike is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP and is in charge of its National Compensation practice. He has more than 32 years of experience working with companies on a wide range of executive compensation issues. He is an independent advisor to the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors on executive compensation matters at several Fortune 500 companies.

He has authored articles published in Harvard Business Review, CFO Magazine, Directors & Boards and the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) newsletter, and served on the NACD’s Blue Ribbon Commission on executive pay. He is also a co-author of a chapter in A Practical Guide to SEC Proxy and Compensation Rules. He has often been a guest speaker on compensation and benefit matters at conferences sponsored by the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals,, National Directors Institute and the American Bar Association and at the Kellogg School of Management Annual Corporate Governance Conference.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Illinois.
