Managing Partner and Chief Executive

Frank Vettese Frank Vettese is the Managing Partner and Chief Executive of Deloitte in Canada. Previously, he was Managing Partner of the Canadian Financial advisory practice, as well as Deloitte’s Global Financial Advisory practice. Frank joined Deloitte in 2002 and has been a member of the Deloitte Global Executive team since 2007.

Frank comes to the role of Managing Partner and Chief Executive with a strong record of performance, service and leadership. During more than 25 years in public accounting and professional services, he has built successful practices, developed leaders and contributed significantly to shaping the CA profession in Canada.

Frank was awarded the Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (FCA) designation in 2011 and has been recognized by Lexpert as a Top Accounting Expert in Canada since 2005. He presents regularly at universities and business associations, as well as to the Canadian and international media on behalf of his profession.

Frank is an active supporter of diversity in the workplace and in the community. He is also a member of other board and volunteer committees.

Frank graduated from York University (Schulich School of Business) with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1986 and a Master of Business Administration degree in 1991.

Frank is based in Toronto, Canada. He and his wife Cinzia have two children, Alessia and Andrew.

 Glenn Ives


Glenn Ives Glenn Ives is the Chair of Deloitte Canada, a role he assumed in June 2010. Born in England, Glenn attended the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, graduating in 1984 and becoming Ontario’s UFE gold medalist. Moving from his first employer, Clarke, Henning & Co. to Coopers & Lybrand in 1985, Glenn spent a year in Toronto and almost two in the United Kingdom. He returned to Canada in 1987 and joined TVX Gold Inc. the following year.

In 1993, he became director and chief financial officer of Vancouver-based Vengold Inc., travelling to the company’s operations in Latin America, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. In 1999, Glenn joined Deloitte as a partner and Audit specialist in the financial institutions sector. Using his industry background, he led the transformation of Deloitte’s Mining practice into one of Canada’s largest professional services groups dedicated to the sector.

Glenn’s work in the community has its roots in decades of coaching hockey and soccer teams. He has been Deloitte’s Vancouver United Way leader. He also introduced Impact Day in his home office as a way to involve articling students before it became a national Deloitte initiative. Glenn is a Director on the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, a member of the Queen’s School of Business Advisory Council, a member of the Catalyst Canada Advisory Board and a member of the CD Howe International Economic Panel. Glenn is also an active member of West Vancouver United Church.

Luc Villeneuve, FCPA, FCA

Deloitte - Quebec

Deloitte has 2,400 employees working at 30 Quebec locations and Luc Villeneuve has been the firm’s Chairman for Quebec since January 1st 2009. A Deloitte partner since 1985, Mr. Villeneuve sits on Deloitte’s Board of Directors and has been Vice-Chairman of Deloitte Canada since 2007. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Deloitte Foundation. In 2006, in recognition for his contribution to the profession and to the community, Mr. Villeneuve was made a Fellow of Quebec’s Ordre des comptables agréés (FCPA, FCA).  

Over the years he has excelled at each of the professional and executive positions he has held within the firm. These include Director of operations for Quebec’s Audit function, strategy leader on financial disclosure certification and securities regulation compliance for public and private organizations, as well as the firm’s Public Sector industry leader for Quebec. Mr. Villeneuve is driven by his passion for customer service excellence and has served many Quebec corporations in an advisory capacity.

A graduate of the Directors Education Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors, Mr. Villeneuve has a special interest in corporate governance issues: he sits on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD Canada) and between 2007 and 2011 was President and then Chairman of the Board of Directors for the ICD Quebec chapter.

A respected leader among Quebec business executives, Mr. Villeneuve is actively involved in the wider community. He was Honorary President of the 2011 Traversée du Lac Saint-Jean and has presided over fundraising activities for the Fondation Sports Études and Hôpital Sacré-Cœur and two annual fundraising campaigns for the Fonds de développement de HEC-Montréal. He is Chairman of the 2012-2014 fundraising campaign for the Portage Foundation and is also a member of the fundraising campaigns for the Institut du cancer de Montréal, the Fondation Ressources Jeunesse, the Mental Illness Foundation and Campus Montréal as well as Honorary Co-President of the 2012 Special Olympics and the 2012 Cercle Entreprendre du Québec gala.

Mr. Villeneuve is a member of the Conseil des gouverneurs de HEC Montréal and is on the Board of Directors of the Fondation HEC-Montréal. He is a member of the executive and is also President of the Board of Directors for the Fédération des Chambres de Commerce du Québec as well as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Institut du Cancer de Montréal and the Cercle des Petits Frères des Pauvres. Mr. Villeneuve is the current Chair of the Board of Governors of Pro-Musica and was Chairman of the Club St-Denis from 2009 to 2011.
