Poland has steadfastly pursued a policy of economic liberalization throughout the 1990s and today stands out as one of the most successful and open transition economies. Foreign direct investment inflow to Poland in 2005 was USD 7.7 billion. There are many reasons for the presence of foreign investors in Poland, including the size of the Polish market, low employment costs, economic growth and availability of human resources. Poland remains, next to Hungary and Czech Republic, one of the largest economies in Central Europe. It has also one of the most impressive growth rates in Europe.
