Suzanne McDonald is a Consulting Partner with responsibility for the healthcare portfolio at Deloitte in Ireland. As a member of the Consulting team Suzanne focusses on providing health and social care clients with services ranging across strategy, risk and financial management, workforce planning, operational improvement and health technology.
Suzanne has over 25 years’ experience of working in the health sector – her experience includes social care, private healthcare, healthcare regulation and public health. Her experience includes 15 years’ working in pharmaceutical regulation, where she engaged with national and international bodies such as the Department of Health, the European Medicines Agency and the World Health Organisation (WHO).
As an experienced Board member within a range of sectors including NGO, telecommunications, and higher education Suzanne also supports clients on governance matters. She is a member of the Institute of Directors (UK & Ireland), and with a special interest in healthcare technology she is a member of the Irish Computer Society and Health Information Society of Ireland (HISI).
As the Deloitte Healthcare lead Suzanne has worked exclusively with the Irish health service over the past 18 months on the COVID response programme – specifically in the area of diagnostic testing. The Deloitte team has worked across multiple aspects of the response programme – testing, robotics, clinical data analytics, supply chain and vaccination.
