Deloitte advised Taaleri in the investment of Nordic Bioproducts Group

Taaleri’s bioindustry fund I invests in Nordic Bioproducts Group, a Finland based company that produces cellulose based solutions from Finnish forest fibres and cellulose containing industrial and agriculture side and waste streams. Nordic Bioproducts Group was founded in 2019 to develop new biomaterial that will replace less sustainable and high emission solutions currently used in e.g. textile, construction and food industry.

The purpose of the investment is to strengthen Nordic Bioproduct Group’s growth and expansion and to ensure the construction of the company’s production plant in Lappeenranta.

Deloitte provided Taaleri with financial, tax, legal and forensic due diligence in relation to transaction. In addition, Deloitte assisted Taaleri in the preparation and negotiation of the investment documentation, including investment and shareholders’ agreements. The team members included Lars-Johan Ahlqvist, Nikolas Sjöberg, Fanny Wilhelmsson, Aleksi Laurikainen, Lauri Aine, Kati Heino, Mikko Kemppainen, Leea Uusi-Hautamaa, Jutta Kangas, Marko Pöllänen and Kaisa Mujunen.
