Deloitte is the project manager for the eMayor project. This project is sponsored by the European Commission and aims to provide small and medium-sized government organizations (SMGOs) with secure and affordable eGovernment Web services. The development of eGovernment Web services in smaller municipalities is often hindered by a lack of financial, political and legal support. They often lack the necessary expertise or infrastructure to address crucial security and technical issues. By creating a standard yet customizable platform, the eMayor project aims to help SMGOs overcome these barriers.
