On June 23, 2005, Deloitte & Touche Inc. was appointed Interim Receiver of Hakim Pharmaceutical Inc. (“Hakim”) pursuant to an order by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada). The intent of the interim receiver is to protect the assets of “Hakim” and continue to operate the business.
