Government is involved at all levels of sport. Responsible for setting policy for the long term development of sport in the country it is also a major funder of sport particularly at the schools and grassroots level.

Government must use tax to encourage participation and investment but also be aware that inappropriate taxes can act as a serious cost to investment. Local Government is increasingly involved with the development of capital projects to encourage sport ranging from the football stadia for Manchester City FC and Coventry City FC, to local tennis courts and gymnasiums.

With the involvement of private finance you must understand the tax issues for the private sector partner and assist in structuring these investments efficiently. We are involved in policy development and lobbying for tax breaks for sport, for example Community Amateur Sports Clubs.
