Deloitte & Touche LLP was appointed Claims Administrator of the British Columbia ("BC") and other Provinces Settlement Agreement on April 26, 2004. Samson Bélair/Deloitte & Touche s.e.n.c.r.l. was appointed Claims Administrator of the Québec Settlement Agreement on April 30, 1999.
The Amended Joint Plan of Reorganization of Dow Corning Corporation (the “Plan”), is a worldwide settlement between Dow Corning Corporation and worldwide breast implant settlement claimants, pursuant to Dow Corning Corporation’s Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing in the United States of America.
Pursuant to the Plan, different Settlement Agreements were negotiated on a geographic basis and accordingly breast implant settlement claimants are required to file under a Settlement Agreement based on geography. The negotiated Settlement Agreements in Canada are: BC and other Provinces; Québec; and Ontario.
Our role as Court-Appointed Claims Administrator of BC, other Provinces and Québec is to act as a neutral party administering the two different settlement funds and claims administration processes. To assist in the process, websites have been developed to provide information and assist claimants throughout the claims administration. Links to the websites are provided below.
These websites will be updated regularly in order to answer the most frequent questions received from claimants and to add new information or documents that may be useful to claimants.
Please note that the Settlement Agreements are distinctly different and accordingly please access the website which relates to the Settlement Agreement you are claiming under.
