The Fund Placement Advisory group at Deloitte offers specialist fund placement advice to buyout, venture capital, mezzanine and special situations funds.
As a dedicated fund raising team, we provide a focused service to a limited selection of funds. Our investor relationships extend globally, with core teams based in our London headquarters and our offices in New York and Hong Kong.

Benefiting from Deloitte's leading position in the Private Equity mid-markets*, our Fund Placement Advisory group has extensive private equity relationships, and offers significant insight into the buyout and venture capital markets. The breadth and depth of Deloitte's global service and sector expertise means that the fund raising team provides unparalleled expertise to both private equity managers and investors.
The Fund Placement Advisory group seeks to represent three to four high quality private equity managers each year. The key features to our approach are: - Knowledge of global private equity markets – Deloitte is a global organisation of 150,000 people in over 140 countries. Our knowledge of the private equity industry around the world is vast.
- Detailed pre-mandate due diligence – we undertake detailed due diligence on the manager prior to agreeing to act as placement agent. This allows us to work for only the best managers.
- Understanding our investor base – we take the time to understand our investor base. This allows us to match our clients with the interests’ of our prospective investors.
- Dedication to a small number of clients - we take on no more than four mandates per year and therefore we are able to focus on servicing our GPs and investors intimately.
- Extensive due diligence materials – we pre-prepare an extensive information pack. This allows investors to quickly focus in on the issues that are of greater relevance to them.
