In addition to financial contributions made by our firm, thousands of our people volunteer for worthwhile causes. We actively offer, encourage, support and reward volunteering for three important reasons:

• Community Involvement is a manifestation of our shared values. Helping others and sharing of ourselves is simply the right thing to do.
• A healthy community depends on the active involvement of all who live and work there; it is our responsibility to be a good corporate citizen.
• Community involvement helps our people grow professionally. It helps them to enhance their skills and leadership abilities in a non-work environment, build relationships both inside and outside the firm, and is a boost to team building. Helping others helps our people to develop in their careers.

Our National Advisory Council for Community Involvement includes several senior partners who represent and advise the firm's leadership. The Council sets strategic direction and policy, and evaluates the performance of our community programs. Our network of regional and local champions for community involvement ensure that volunteer initiatives reflect the needs and interests of our people, and are carried out successfully for maximum community impact.

Sharing our success with local communities is an expression of our values and part of our commitment to the public trust.  We support several national organizations who share the mission of helping businesses become communty leaders.  Our hope is to exhibit leadership in this area and to encourage other business organizations to maximize their contribution to their communities and to the public interest.
