The Africa Tax Desk works closely with the International Tax team and is run from Johannesburg. It serves primarily as a support base for the development and alignment of Deloitte’s African Tax practices. Close involvement with the pan-African tax practices has enabled Deloitte to assist multinational companies, smaller investors and contractors to avoid the tax pitfalls of doing business on the continent.

Our services include:

• Structuring cross-border transactions and investments into Africa;
• Maximising dividend, interest royalty and management fee inflows from African countries;
• Advising on issues such as thin capitalisation, anti-avoidance and transfer pricing legislation in Africa; and
• Tax due diligence reviews.
