Corporate Governance

The role of the audit committee in corporate governance is to assist in increasing board effectiveness. The audit committee is able to do this by challenging, and where possible improving, the relevance and reliability of an entity's fiscal documentation to ensure objective, robust and credible financial reporting.

Beyond this financial focus our audit team works in partnership with our Enterprise Risk Services team to provide advice to directors (as well as shareholders where applicable) in order to assist decision-making and strategic planning. This enables them to add value to their business, as well as better perform their duties with respect to responsibilities both in terms of statute and stakeholder expectations.
