Falher Alfalfa Ltd.

February 1, 2008 - Deloitte & Touche Inc. was appointed as the Receiver of Falher Alfalfa Ltd. (“FAL” or the “Company”) and is offering the Company’s assets for sale. FAL’s operations are located on approximately 85 acres of land (comprised of five separate legal lots) on the east side of the Town of Falher, Alberta. FAL operated as an alfalfa and forage processing and storage facility with two plants that produced a combination of alfalfa dehy and sun-cured products in cubes or compressed bales as well as formulated rations of pellets or meal for livestock consumption. In addition to the two plants and related equipment, the assets of the Company include 39 product storage bins (with a storage capacity of over 62,000 tons), storage sheds, repair and maintenance shops and parts storage, office space, farming and trucking related rolling stock and equipment, spare parts, alfalfa seeds and two rail spur lines with a 65 rail car capacity. There have been many alternate uses identified for the property. Further details on the assets and sale process are included below.
