Deloitte’s donations to the children suffering from Down syndrome

In December 2004, Deloitte held a charity competition for the best drawing among the employee’s children. Three drawings (Clara Meyer’s, Dita Henderson’s and Asya Kaluzhnaya’s) were chosen by DownsideUp to be printed as New Year’s charity postcards. The drawings by Clara Meyer (two years old) and Dima Sergeev (seven years old) were used as design for Deloitte’s New Year’s postcards. For each card sent, a donation was made to Downside up to go towards early intervention programs for Russian children with Down syndrome.

This year, Deloitte carried out the second “Yolka” Campaign for children suffering from Down syndrome. Our employees collected around 150 toys for donation to DownsideUp, who will distribute them amongst children. In addition we donated $ 1960 to the foundation. Learn More

Contributions to help the victims of the tragedy in Beslan.

Deloitte has transferred $27,500 to the Red Cross account in Vladikavkaz to help the victims of the tragedy in Beslan. $7500 of this came from private contributions.

The Deloitte Charity Tournament on behalf of United Way

The Deloitte Charity Tournament 2004

On  August 20th 2004, Deloitte once again hosted its Annual Golf Tournament on behalf of the United Way at Le Meridien Moscow Country Club. This year, 125 players (16 teams) took part in the competition. More than $45000 was raised to be distributed amongst orphans, elderly pensioners, the disabled, and the homeless.

Team Deloitte once again took part in the Annual AmCham Golf tournament, with  Jim Balaschak acting as Chairman of the tournament. Although the team was not placed this year, Deloitte was proud to have taken part in an activity which raised $3700 for the disabled.
