The International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) is an independent, not-for-profit organization currently supported by more than 100 of the world's leading businesses. IBLF provides strategic counsel to companies to enable them to understand and respond to the development challenges they face, particularly when operating in transition and emerging economies. Since 1990, and with the support of the IBLF President, HRH The Prince of Wales, the organization has worked in more than 90 countries. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT) and its member firms joined the IBLF in October 2003, and in November 2007 John Connolly, chairman of the board of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and Deloitte UK's chief executive and senior partner, became a trustee of the organization's Board of Trustees. This Board is comprised of senior private and public sector leaders who advise the IBLF on achieving its mission to promote responsible business leadership and partnerships for sustainable development. Also, in the United States, Barry Salzberg, CEO of Deloitte LLP, the U.S. member firm of DTT, is a member of the IBLF Americas Advisory Board. The IBLF's mission is closely aligned with the values and aspirations of DTT and its member firms to be good corporate citizens wherever the member firms operate. Members of DTT’s and its member firms’ leadership attend IBLF meetings to explore ways for Deloitte to engage in the IBLF network and projects, and to benefit from the organization's experience.
