In the Consumer Business industry we distinguish three different segments : retail,
CPG (consumer package goods manufacturing) and THL (tourism, hospitality & leisure).
Although these three segments are by nature quite different businesses, they
share the challenge of directly serving increasingly demanding consumers and
customers on a daily basis.
In FY07, the Consumer Business industry accounts have beaten their budgets
by far and generated a total of 10,7 Mio € in Net Fees, which represents
a growth of 35% compared to FY06.
Our Consulting activities are strongly present in the CPG segment, with at
68% growth compared to last year at Coca-Cola, our largest CB client. Further
significant growth was realized at Sara Lee, Barry Callebaut and Estée
Lauder.
Our main Audit client remains Delhaize Group, where we realized 1 Mio € in
Net Fees. Within the retail segment, Maxeda and Aldi also confirmed their importance
as Audit clients, while for Tax work we realized strong growth at both Carrefour
and Colruyt. With a strong performance of both AERS and Tax clients like Starwood,
Accor and Autogrill we also confirmed our presence in the THL segment.
For further growing our presence in the Consumer Business industry, it’s
important that we can help our clients addressing a number of key challenges
- How to better serve a consumer with changing habits and tastes whilst health
concerns are driving the need for product and packaging innovations ? How can
retailers and CPG manufacturers develop that opportunity together ?
- How to communicate with an ever more demanding and educated consumer as a
path to growth ?
- How to deal with the changing consumer demographics : populations over age
60 are growing, particularly in developed economies, and young and middle-class
populations are growing in emerging markets like China, India & Russia
with massive growth expectations
- How to optimize the return on marketing and trade promotions spend ?
