GGI’s role as part of TMC is to implement processes to optimise incentives offered by government in the various forms offered. GGI focus on grants and incentives that provide benefit to clients. Our service delivery is in line with the targeted focus of Government on large investments and as such, we focus mainly on the following areas:

Infrastructure
Our service offering is to plan and optimise infrastructure grants, such as Municipal Infrastructure Grants and the Critical Infrastructure Programme Grants, amongst others. The infrastructure supported includes electricity supply, water purification, sanitation, roads and telecommunication networks.

Manufacturing
Our service offering includes Incentive feasibility studies, completion of Incentive applications, monitoring and maintenance of applications, assistance with accrual reviews and factual findings, payments of claims and optimisation of tax deductions. We advise specifically in the Small Medium Enterprise Development Programme, Strategic Industrial Projects Programme and the Enterprise Growth Programme.

Research and Development
South Africa offers R&D tax incentives that apply not only to research performed in a laboratory but also to a broad spectrum of developmental activities, including manufacturing process improvements, production trails and software integration issues. Taking advantage of these incentives creates an immediate cash benefit for companies.

We have been advising producers, both local and international, on the Film rebates available to producers. Although our advice invariably focuses on the rebates available, the Deloitte Media and Entertainment business unit, to whom we have close links, supplies a one stop servicing solution to the Film industry.
