For more than three decades, the World Economic Forum has held an Annual Meeting each January in Davos, Switzerland which has brought together some of society's most prominent leaders to shape the global agenda. The Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) was created last year by the Forum in an effort to build off of the winter meeting and expand the organization’s commitment of improving the state of the world to a new group of stakeholders. The AMNC has since become known as the “Summer Davos”, and provides a platform for emerging, high-growth companies to work alongside already established global companies and top political and academic leaders to identify fresh new ideas and innovative new technologies that will lead to further global growth. This year’s AMNC took place in Tianjin, China, from 27-28 September, and it brought together more than 1,000 leaders under the theme "The Next Wave of Growth". As a Strategic Partner of the Forum, Deloitte supports the mission of the meeting and the efforts of the New Champions.
