The Operational Due Diligence team assists our clients in understanding the true operational capability of acquisitions, investments and disposals.
The team works with our corporate and private equity clients to assess potential merger synergies, stand-alone performance improvements of buy-outs or key operational risks, on both buy- and sell-side. In restructuring situations, the team also provides support to operational turnarounds of underperforming companies as part of an independent business review or bank work-out situations. Members of the team have advised on in excess of 200 transactions.
Working with colleagues from Corporate Finance, Consulting and the broader Deloitte network, the team provide our clients with a coherent overview of the business operations, performance gaps and the potential for rapid improvement and are able to provide insight on key deal issues and opportunities even when working on transactions where limited access or information are available.
The Operational Due Diligence team is one of the services provided by the Merger Integration team. The Merger Integration team is a market leader who have delivered over 150 major post transaction assignments (mergers, carve-outs and restructurings) and through this work have developed a good understanding of what is and what is not achievable in a pre deal benefits case.
The approach taken by the team is highly pragmatic, issues focused and is based on extensive experience of supporting clients at all stages of the transaction cycle:
-
cost reduction, operational restructuring and performance improvement implementation plan formulation, review and validation
-

-

-

All of these areas are supported by a comprehensive range of tools and methodologies designed to support you and your management team to complete a successful transaction.
The team bring together a number of highly skilled multi-national operational professionals, all with cross-border, cross-industry implementation experience and with extensive language skills between them.
