Deloitte National Charity Selection
NSPCC and Cancer Research UK have been chosen as our national charities for 2008 and 2009. More than 5,300 of our people took part in the final vote. Announcing the result Director of Community Investment Richard Stone said: “This is a fantastic response by our people and demonstrates just how important our charity partnerships are for the firm. I’d like to thank everyone who took part in the vote. We are looking forward to working with NSPCC and Cancer Research UK which are two of the UK’s leading charities. We’re planning to raise more than £1m for them during the next two years through fundraising and payroll giving, and there will also be opportunities for our people to get involved through volunteering and providing professional support". “Both charities have already come up with ideas for projects that we can support and for ways to involve our people, and we’ll be announcing more details in the New Year. Our partnership with the British Heart Foundation and Leukaemia Research has been an outstanding success and we’re going to build on that success going forward.” 15 December 2007 |

It plays an important part in helping to make Deloitte a great place to work, and our community projects have won several awards.
