Global Economic Outlook 2007

The global economy is currently robust with strong growth in many markets including the US and China. Yet the global economy is also plagued by serious imbalances that threaten to derail the current strength. Debate rages over how and when these imbalances will be corrected and whether that process will be disruptive or benign. In this report, that debate is examined, future scenarios are considered, and suggestions are offered for managing the risks. In addition, the report provides analyses of economic prospects in each major region, discusses threats to globalization, and assesses the declining risk of doing business in emerging markets.
