Financial crisis will change the role of the government 16 December 2008 Prague, 16 December 2008 — The current financial crisis will further strengthen public administration's role in national economies. Unlike in the past, individual central governments around the world will expand and broaden the coordination of their activities globally and, at the same time, they will see a renewed tendency toward devolution of central power to regional and local governments or even private businesses. Online christmas shopping accompanied by increased risk 08 December 2008 Prague, 8 December 2008 — According to the Christmas Survey conducted by Deloitte, more than a third of Czechs intend to purchase their Christmas presents via the Internet. More and more people are using the Internet to compare prices and products. But are the proponents of online shopping aware of its possible risks? European hotel performance affected by financial crisis 01 December 2008 Prague, 1 December 2008 — A report produced quarterly by Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has found that year-to-September hotel performance fell slightly across Europe. Revenue per available room (revPAR) was down 1.5% to €76 driven by a 1.9% drop in occupancy. Average room is €112.

However, when looking at September figures alone, revPAR across Europe dipped 6.7%.
